The exhibition project is a creative synergy between Aldo Galli Academy - IED Network, the company YAMAMAY and the ADI Design Museum

The students of the three-year Painting and Visual Languages and Fashion Textile Design courses, accompanied by their lecturers, worked to reconstruct and re-present the history of the swimming costume through its aesthetic and emotional aspect. This was an opportunity for the students to put themselves to the test and interact in an interdisciplinary manner with the skills they acquired during their studies.  The students therefore started by studying the history of the swimming costume from its inception in antiquity to the present day in order to observe the changes in shapes and materials that have followed and anticipated important passages in the history of mankind, culminating in the creation of a true story. Another important aspect of this project was to understand how eco-design has now become the key to designing swimwear that is carefully made to last and drain fewer and fewer resources from the planet, allowing us to be in nature in harmony.
