FASHION BECOMES SUSTAINABLE
Students of the Master’s degree in Textile Design-Product- Research- Sustainability of the Aldo Galli Academy were involved in the contest realised in collaboration with Epson Italia and GreenChic - the first pre-loved fashion marketplace in Italy that stands out for its business model based on the circular economy. The students were challenged to use their creativity to recover the clothes and give them a new lease of life. To realise their design consisting of new prints on fabrics, the students used the new Epson SureColor SC-F100 dye-sublimation printer to create original and unprecedented patterns. The finished garments were then posted on social media and after a vote, the “Digi- craft” project by student Atiya Hyder was selected as the winner.
